Bio

Hunter McDonough serves as an Associate Director of CFO Services at PINE, specializing in alternative investment funds. In his role, he guides clients through the complexities of both fund and management company operations. From day-to-day cash management to quarterly and annual reporting, Hunter oversees treasury functions, NAV calculations, and financial reporting cycles with precision, ensuring operational integrity and building enduring relationships with clients. 

Hunter began his career at Stone Coast Fund Services, where he worked with a diverse portfolio of alternative investment clients and managed fund accounting services for over $4 billion AUA. During his tenure, he developed expertise across hedge funds, private equity, and other alternative investment vehicles. This foundation shaped a comprehensive understanding of fund accounting principles and the operational demands of leading alternative investment firms. At PINE, he applies this experience to deliver high-impact, client-specific solutions that enhance operational performance and create lasting value for fund managers. 

Hunter earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Maine. Outside of work, he enjoys summers on Maine’s coast and lakes, visiting family in Vermont, skiing the East and West, and spending time with his fiancée and their Swiss Shepherd.
