Bio

Tim Young serves as an Associate Director of CFO Services at PINE, serving as CFO for and specializing in alternative investment funds. In his role, he collaborates with clients to navigate the complexities of both fund and management company operations. From day-to-day cash management to quarterly and annual reporting, Tim supports the treasury functions, NAV calculations, and financial reporting cycles with accuracy and timeliness —ensuring operational integrity and maintaining exacting standards in service to his clients.   

Tim began his career in the alternative investment space in 2006 at Citigroup in Portland, Maine and continued his journey with GlobeOp Financial Services and Stone Coast Fund Services. Along the way, he worked with a diverse portfolio of clients in managing their regular fund accounting and financial reporting processes, in addition to working in central support functions both as a business analyst and dedicated Data & Reporting team. The time spent supporting the operations of alternative investment vehicles such as hedge funds and private equity funds has built a powerful base knowledge that will allow for strong, long-term relationships with fund managers that provide clients with value, expertise, and partnership. Tim attended the University of Maine and earned a Bachelor of Science with a dual concentration in Finance & International Business.   

Beyond the investment industry, Tim has been a registered yoga teacher since 2019, enjoying both the mental and physical benefits of dedicated practice and a focus on personal health. Outside of work and the yoga studio, he spends time enjoying the diverse nature of New England, whether it be walking on the rocky coastline or hiking to the mountain summits for sunrise.
