Employee Spotlight: Jason Mudd
Megan Dobransky | 25 August 2026
PINE is excited to spotlight Jason Mudd, PINE's Head of Managed Services at PINE, overseeing the Operations Support Services team. He brings years of experience and expertise to the team.
Prior Experience
Jason brings over a decade of institutional operations experience from BNY Mellon, where he most recently led elements of the firm's Recovery and Resolution Planning as a Principal/SVP in Corporate Treasury. Basically, helping build the bank's living will. Before that, he spent years in BNY's Investment Manager Services group managing multi-team accounting units, slashing costs, cutting errors, and supporting Middle Office clients. He also cut his teeth at Janus Capital in Investment Accounting. He holds an MBA and a BS in Business Marketing and Finance from the University of Colorado Denver. Translation: Jason has seen a lot of spreadsheets and survived a lot of audits.
Get to Know Jason!
We asked Jason a few questions to provide our readers with some insight into his background and personality.
Why did you join PINE?
I joined PINE because my personal values of staying curious, collaboration, and pushing to improve were aligned with PINE's, and the opportunity to be part of a growing company with values that matched mine was exciting. In short, PINE had good roots, and it was the right time to branch out.
What is your favorite movie?
I can't pick only one. There are too many genres, too much at stake. My Mount Rushmore of film: Jaws, The Incredibles, Mad Max: Fury Road, and The Empire Strikes Back.
What is something you recommend everyone do or try at least once?
Everything. Try that ride, try the food, try yoga, try as many new things as you can at least once, and you might just find your next favorite thing. Start today by getting yourself a fluffernutter or a halo halo. Consider it a low-stakes gateway drug to saying yes to more things.
What are some of your favorite weekend activities?
Sorry, the first rule says I'm not supposed to talk about it. Beyond that, I also like to visit national parks, go hiking, and I'm on an ongoing quest with Marcie's [PINE's Head of Principal Fund Officer Services] son, Austin, and other PINE employees to catch a baseball game at every MLB park in the country.
